Taking the Law into our own Hands
Jones Day is an international law firm with 29 offices in centers of business and finance throughout the world. We were retained by the firm’s Dallas and Houston offices to strengthen the firm’s business development efforts and enhance their community profile through various public relations and marketing initiatives.
We surveyed attorneys and staff to determine the level of involvement in community activities. We compared the results with competing firms and made recommendations based on our findings. We developed promotional feature story ideas and innovative activities to put Jones Day in a favorable light.
One example is the seminar series on Sarbanes-Oxley that we developed and implemented for Jones Day with leading business schools, including SMU, Harvard, Stanford and Emory. Placing Jones Day’s legal experts alongside leading academics in finance and accounting drew audiences of C-level executives and provided Jones Day with a highly targeted business development initiative as well as an effective regional and national media relations platform.
